Title: Paulini's new single debuts at.....

Rough Day had one...debuting at a disappointing 26.

Thought it would do better than that because it's very catchy :(

I'm so surprised myself! ALthough there doesn't seem to have been a huge lot of publicity - but I its really international in its feel and I love the video.

HOW can it debut so low? Weird...

Cos it is a boring song?

Lea - January 27, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
^I don't mind it.

It certainly is at least as good as some of song some of the 'international' acts have released lately...yet it's those internatonal artists who get all the air play.

So much forradio stations supporting our own Australian Artists!!

THAT is the big thing. Hope you all work your local radio stations - I keep quoting these figures I came across but they made a big impression.

Overseas artists have huge funding and huge money because

in the US
80,000,000 (think of that!!) :o CD buyers

compared to Australia

2,000,000

THAT is our problem. And then the overseas have huge amounts of money to spend on buying the prime spots in the record shops / areas, and on publicity and marketing.

Unless we Australians support and push for OUR artists - and I don't mean just for your own favourite - ALL AUSTRALIAN ARTISTS AS A WHOLE - and of course the good ones in particular

we will continue to be flooded with 'artists' which, if they were in Australia, would be lucky to get airplay in the least of the country stations.

We MUST support all our artists. I realise we all haven't got money to buy every Aust cd - but we can put pressure on our local radio stations.

NOW THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART

we must be mature about this. Don't rubbish your anti-idol artist - be positive about the one you like but keep in mind
if its not their time then its probably a wasted effort as far as marketing goes

use your head and push for either similar artists (preferably Australian) or other australian artists.

GIVE AUSTRALIA A GO
should be our catchword to the radio stations

we CAN do this thing :hammer

LOL :wave
