Shannon Noll is back on the album trail after taking part in songwriting and recording sessions in the United States.
Noll, who was due home from Los Angeles on Friday, has been working with some of the world's best-known songwriters in preparation for his third album. He plans to head back to the US soon to continue working on his new tracks.
An insider has revealed Noll's exciting preparations for the September release, with indications this may be his most ambitious album yet. (The popularity of Noll's second album, Lift, proved he has the genuine sales clout to pull off yet another major release.)
Among Noll's co-writers are Richie Sambora (who is readying himself for the next Bon Jovi release) and earnest pop balladeer Richard Marx. Noll has also been working with Australian songwriters in a bid to find the right mix for his third release.
The 31-year-old singer, who has resoundingly proved his longevity beyond Australian Idol, sounds more determined than ever to prove his career will be long-lasting.
"He is just so focused at the moment, it's great to see," said the insider.
Noll's first single off the third album is likely to be released in August, with the singer planning an extensive tour off the back of the new release.
